Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.

Life experiences can inflict deep, inner hurt and pain causing people to live as wounded souls. In fact, many believers are living with inner wounds, sometimes from childhood, struggling today with ungodly habits, driven by negative emotions, and ignorant of the power available for them to overcome. The mission of Soul Care is to teach believers a Christ-centered and biblical approach to embrace the healing, wholeness, and freedom that Jesus gives us.
Soul Care is based on the principle that God created human beings as body, soul, and spirit and that all three parts were affected by sin. When we were born again, God’s immediate work of justification regenerated our spirits and filled us with the Holy Spirit. However, the effects of sin in our souls and bodies and the wounds from past experiences may still impact our lives. The message of Soul Care is that believers need to intentionally engage in the process of nurturing the health of our souls, because our inner lives impact how we live. God’s plan is for the ongoing, transforming work of the indwelling Holy Spirit to restore our souls and form the character of Christ in us, so that we can accurately reflect and represent him.
The method of Soul Care is our 9-sessions curriculum, delivered in a confidential group setting to facilitate learning, healing, and growth. Each participant gets a workbook that includes sections for personal reflection and journalling. The lessons present biblical principles and practical applications to renew your mind with Scriptural truths and yield to the Holy Spirit to help you to walk in your identity in Christ, embrace inner healing, manage your emotions, overcome unhealthy habits and influences, align your will with God’s will, live in the freedom and blessing that Jesus secured for you, and be the overcomer he has called you to be!
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
– 3 John 1:2
John’s prayer summarizes our vision for all believers: that as we thrive and experience wellness in our souls, this will set the standard for us to thrive and enjoy physical health and success in all other areas of our lives. That’s why we invite you on this journey to learn about the makeup of your soul and to discover biblical principles to care for your soul, so that you can truly proper and thrive!
The Psalmist reminds us that it is God who restores our souls (Psalm 23:3). As we intentionally use the Scriptures to renew our thoughts with a biblical perspective and yield to the Holy Spirit, he will do the work of restoration in our souls and transformation in our character, so that we can become more Christ-like as we engage in life and ministry.
John’s prayer summarizes our vision for every believer: that we may enjoy healthy minds, emotions and choices, which will then influence all other areas of our lives. That is why we invite you on this journey to:
It is God who restores our souls (Psalm 23:3). As we intentionally let the Scriptures reshape our thoughts and yield to the work of the Holy Spirit,
he can effect deep character change in us.
We offer separate groups for men and women and each participant gets a workbook to journal through the experience. Registration opens September 1st.
